Corporate Responsibility

We are committed to ensuring that our activities, employees and partners are involved in building a more sustainable world.

Principles of Behavior and Action

All of our policies and commitments are based on our ethical foundation: the Principles of Behavior and Action.

They are divided into 5 Principles of Behavior:

1. Professional commitment;
2. Respect for people;
3. Integrity;
4. Loyalty;
5. Solidarity.

And 4 Principles of Action:

1. Respect for legality;
2. Respect for the environment;
3. Respect for health and safety at work;
4. Respect for Employee Rights.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility pillars guide our actions to reduce the environmental and social impacts of our activities and solutions.

The key foundations of our mission are to develop and distribute more sustainable solutions to create more comfortable spaces that guarantee the well-being of individuals and society as a whole.

Our commitments are in our DNA and can be divided into 6 pillars.

Building trust with stakeholders

1. BUSINESS ETHICS

  • Support the Group's employees in the fair and responsible exercise of their professions;
  • Working fairly and ethically with suppliers and throughout the supply chain.

2. EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT AND DIVERSITY

  • Create an engaging work environment for all employees;
  • Foster inclusion and promote diversity.

3. HEALTH AND SAFETY IN THE ENTIRE VALUE CHAIN

  • Ensure the health and safety of employees, temporary workers and third parties on Saint-Gobain premises;
  • Guarantee the health and safety of our external audiences, in particular customers and suppliers.

Contributing to a common good

4. CLIMATE CHANGE

  • Propose solutions that promote energy efficiency and the reduction of CO2 emissions, and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050;
  • Combat the effects of climate change, in particular to preserve biodiversity, and address the growing number of water scarce areas.

5. CIRCULAR ECONOMY

  • Manage resources responsibly and eliminate the use of non-recyclable raw materials;
  • Participate in the development of a circular economy: waste collection, recycling and recovery.

6. INCLUSIVE GROWTH

  • Contribute to the challenges of local communities:
  • Through an economic activity in synergy with our presence, with our markets and with our organizations in the countries;
  • Through philanthropy and employee engagement.
