Gyproc Malaysia was again invited by Sime Darby Property to showcase our supplied products at their Semanea Hills Phase H1 Launching in Denai Alam on 28th April 2018. We are always keen to display mock-ups of our products during such events.
Gyproc Malaysia conducted a technical workshop to the students of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) at our training centre in Port Klang on 16th May 2018. This workshop focussed mainly on the practical training aspect as part of their preparation for the Solar Decathlon Middle East (SDME) 2018 competition which will be held in Dubai later this year where they will be representing Malaysia.
Gyproc Malaysia is proud to be featured in an article on drywall construction published in The Edge Malaysia during the week of July 2nd till July 8th 2018. The sentiments of using drywall products is slowly growing thanks to its many benefits such as speed and ease of construction as well as its advantage of being lightweight compared with conventional brick or block construction. In line with Saint-Gobain's sustainability efforts, we are constantly supportive of efforts to promote drywall construction.
Gyproc Malaysia, Weber Malaysia, and E.Mix came together to participate in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminar up north in Penang on 21st July 2018. The seminar, organised by Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) Northern Chapter, was titled "Updated Fire Requirements for Fire Safety in Malaysia". About 90 architects attended the seminar which was held at the Komtar Auditorium.
Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) held an inauguration ceremony of MizanHome on 1st October 2018.
MizanHome is the name given to the sustainable and zero energy solar house built in collaboration between USIM and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) for the Solar Decathlon Middle East (SDME) 2018 competition which will be held in Dubai in November 2018.
Gyproc Malaysia celebrated Saint-Gobain's Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Day on 9th October 2018. Various interactive activities were organised to raise awareness and to encourage the involvement of everyone in our Gyproc family in upholding the principles of EHS.
Gyproc Malaysia together with Weber Malaysia and E.MIX was at this year's Borneo Architecture Festival (BAF) held at Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa, Kota Kinabalu on 12th October 2018.
