Gyproc Malaysia was invited to attend a luncheon on 20th December 2018 hosted by Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) in appreciation for their MizanHome team who picked up the People's Choice Award at the recent Solar Decathlon Middle East (SDME) competition in Dubai.
Gyproc Malaysia alongside Weber Malaysia and E.MIX were invited by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) of Malaysia to exhibit our products at their newly renovated Industrialised Building Systems (IBS) Gallery.
Gyproc Malaysia alongside Weber Malaysia conducted a product seminar to over 100 students of Politeknik Premier Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah in Shah Alam on 15th March 2019. This annual event exposes the students to practical real world applications of Saint-Gobain products. Similar to the previous years, the seminar also included a hands-on demonstration by Weber which a few students got to experience the usage of Weber's products.
Gyproc Malaysia was invited by Sime Darby Property to showcase our supplied products at their Elmina Valley Five launching on 22nd and 23rd March 2019. Our standard TopLine® and moisture-resistant AquaLine® plasterboards were supplied for this phase. We took this opportunity to introduce our products to potential homeowners of this last phase of Elmina Valley.
Gyproc and Weber were invited by the School of Housing, Building and Planning of Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang to present a product seminar at their campus on 19th April 2019. Both Gyproc and Weber presented about our products to about 50 students whom we hope will benefit from this knowledge sharing session.
The Saint-Gobain Malaysia businesses of Gyproc, Weber-E.MIX, KIMMCO-Isover, Exprover, and Adfors joined hands in hosting the inaugural Saint-Gobain Day on 25th April 2019. Held at Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel, this event aimed to showcase how the various Saint-Gobain products can be used together in multiple applications.
Gyproc Malaysia hosted a factory visit by the Sport & Social Club of Perunding NFL, a local quantity surveyor consultant, on 27th April 2019 as part of their Educational Trip Programme. Together with Weber Malaysia, we conducted product presentations and hands-on demonstrations on installing our plasterboards on walls and ceilings.
Mr. Ong Kang Shon (right) who is currently pursuing his Masters degree, was shortlisted from the Association of Siamese Architects' (ASA) International Design Competition in 2018 and received an honorary mention in the Asia Young Designer Award.
Created in 2004, this contest aims to recognize student talent by holding a competition to design a project based on the principles of Saint-Gobain's Multi Comfort concept: thermal, visual and acoustic comfort as well as good-quality indoor air.
